- Rocky had some relatives
from Mexico.
- In what was probably Mexico's past, Pablo's name was Pablo DeSantos, the same as Rocky's grandfather; in all likelihood, Pablo was
the young version of Rocky's grandfather.

- Mr. Caplan had invited
Rocky's uncle, Joe Haley, to give the Angel Grove High football team some pointers before
the Stone Canyon game.
- Joe Haley was, according to Aisha, the greatest pro quarterback around.
- Joe had done a lot for Rocky when he was a kid.
- Bulk and Skull had
been assigned to guard Joe; they were his official Junior Police Patrol escorts back to his
hotel after his talk to the Angel Grove High
football team.
- Joe had had trouble in school due to dyslexia.
- When Centiback appeared in the
football field with him, Bulk, and Skull, Joe asked what it was, and Bulk told him that it was a monster.
- After being struck by Centiback's spiked football had
turned Bulk, Skull, and
Alan into footballs, Joe intercepted Centiback's football from
hitting Rocky, turning himself into a red
football, leaving only Rocky still human; they were all later turned back to normal
with the use of two modified buckets Alpha
had given to Rocky and Ninjor to reverse the spiked football's energy
wave.
- After being restored, the four people probably
saw Red Ranger and Ninjor briefly before being teleported in white energy back to the
football field by Alpha.
- As Lt. Stone scolded Bulk and Skull later in the outdoor cafe, not believing their story of
being turned into footballs, neither Rocky nor
Alan nor Joe made any attempt to verify Bulk and Skull's story as they watched with
amusement.

- Pablo was walking what looked like a goat through
a wheat field in what appeared to be Mexico's past.
- Pablo spoke English.
- Young Rocky's mentioning
a crystal made Pablo nervous; he then said that he only knew of one
crystal, the Crystal of the Volcano (actually the blue Zeo Subcrystal).
- The legend in Pablo's village said there was a
crystal in the volcano above the village, and that its magic was very
powerful; no one had ever been brave enough to climb the volcano and
claim it.
- Pablo said the volcano was a very dangerous place
but agreed to take young Rocky there when he
said he needed it to help some friends.
- Pablo told young Rocky
that the crystal was supposed to be located under the summit of the
volcano near an old charred tree stump.
- Pablo's father hadn't wanted Pablo to get too
close to the volcano, fearing it might erupt soon.
- Pablo gave young Rocky a
length of rope to climb down into the volcano.
- When young Rocky walked
down the side of the volcano, a crowd of villagers cheered him, and
Pablo came forward to talk with him.
- Pablo's name was Pablo DeSantos, the same as Rocky's grandfather; in all likelihood, Pablo was
the young version of Rocky's grandfather.
? When young Rocky mentioned that his grandfather's name was
Pablo too, Pablo suggested that maybe they were related.
- The people of Pablo's village, except for Pablo,
watched young Rocky hold out his subcrystal and fly up into a dark blue
portal.
