Phaedos
-
- planet home to Dulcea and Ninjetti temple
MMPR: The Movie
Alpha told the teens that the power (see "Monolith") on the distant planet of
Phaedos might be able to save Zordon, but that
all who had tried for the power (see "Monolith") had perished.
Phaedos was dark green and reddish-brown, with a
black spot; it had two white moons.
Aisha discovered the
skeleton of a harnessed dinosaur creature, roughly horse-sized, on the
beach where the teens arrived on Phaedos.
Dulcea led the teens through a savannah, then to the desert
mountains, in the top of which were the ancient ruins of the Ninjetti Temple.
The ruins of the Ninjetti Temple overlooked the
Neola Jungle, beyond which was an enormous monolith, inside which awaited "the
power of the universe."
The teens walked down
what was probably a mountainside just past the ruins; then they walked through an
arid plains area with reddish earth to get to the jungle.
The trees in the jungle were particularly large.
The teens came upon an area in the jungle filled
with dinosaur skeletons; one of the dinosaur skeletons, looking a bit
like a triceratops, tried to hit Billy with its
tail, then got up and charged the teens; its
rampage ended when Tommy removed a bone from its
neck, causing it to completely fall apart.
When Adam kicked a Gatekeeper into a pond near the monolith, the monster steamed and may
have disintegrated; whether the pond was caustic or whether the Gatekeepers were vulnerable to ordinary water
is unknown.

According to Alpha,
Phaedos was located somewhere beyond the Hyperion Constellation.
At a campsite, the teens drank from clay mugs and ate squirbs, live
eel-like creatures which tasted better with dried weevils, brown
flakes; the next morning, they would eat berries on a trail.
Dulcea had a pet
anteater creature named Snoggle which could talk in an alien language.

Ninjetti temple
-
- temple ruins where Dulcea summoned ninja animals
MMPR: The Movie
On Phaedos, Dulcea led the teens
through a savannah, then to the desert mountains, in the top of which
were the ancient ruins of the Ninjetti Temple.
The ruins overlooked the Neola Jungle, beyond
which was an enormous monolith,
inside which awaited "the power of the universe."
That night on Phaedos,
there was a campfire burning in the center of the ruins.
Engraved lines in the ground of the ruins bore
the same large circle and pie slices which were on the floor of the Command Center's central ring.

Phaedos monolith
-
- massive storage site for Great Power
MMPR: The Movie
Alpha told the teens that the power on the distant planet of Phaedos might be able to save Zordon, but that all who had tried for the power
on Phaedos had perished.
Watching the teens teleport from Earth, Rita knew that they
were seeking the Great Power.
The ruins of the Ninjetti Temple overlooked the
Neola Jungle, beyond which was an enormous monolith, inside which
awaited the "power of the universe."
Dulcea said that the
monolith was heavily guarded against intruders, and that no one had ever
survived an attempt to reach it.
When Aisha asked how they
could survive the journey to the monolith while all others had died, Dulcea told them they were chosen by Zordon and that she had faith in his wisdom.
There was apparently a temple built into the
bottom of the monolith; in the front wall of the temple were four
statues which came to life as Gatekeepers
which attacked intruders.
Near the monolith was water falling down from
above into a pond.
When the final Gatekeeper was destroyed (although one of the
four had been merely buried by rocks), the ground began to quake, and
the jungle grew dark; the front of the temple then slid open, and a
triangular stone structure slowly slid out, backlit by bright light.
At the bottom of the stone triangle were two
lines of alien writing; there was a large circular golden insignia of
the six ninja animals together, on the
front of the triangle.
When the Great Power was released from the
monolith, golden miniature Ninjazords
emerged from the ninja animal insignia on
the monolith's stone triangle structure, flew around the teens, and then entered the respective Ninjetti suits' chest symbols,
suiting the Rangers back up in their armored
suits; the old animal symbols were now replaced with the ninja animals' symbols.
On Tommy's reminder that
"to those who possess the Great Power, all things are possible," the
helmetless Rangers stood around Zordon's crystal bed and held their arms up,
almost fingertip to fingertip; the Rangers' chest
symbols glowed with gold light, then the animal symbols projected forward into Zordon; after specks of white light repaired the
Command Center (and made Alpha shiny again), the specks all merged and
flowed into Zordon's chest, making him gasp
back to life.
MMPR: The Movie (early script
revision from 10/31/94)
The Great Power, described as a mythological
power beyond all comprehension, was impossible to obtain, according to
legend, and the Master Warrior on Phaedos was the only person who knew its
secrets.
The Great Power originated in another time and
another dimension, brought to Phaedos long
ago by the Nathadians, a people whose only surviving descendant was Dulcea.
The Nathadians had built an impenetrable stone
monolith to store the power and keep it from their enemies; for
thousands of years, beings from all over the universe had tried to
obtain it, and all had died.
According to Dulcea,
the only way to obtain the Great Power was to achieve the highest
state of being, by learning the ancient art of Ninjetti, the genesis of what
would be known as the Ninja on Earth; it was
the perfect union of mind, body and spirit.
Without the power of the Ninjetti, the Great Power would
destroy the teens.
"Phaedos."
